september 14th—little miss perfect meets the devil and she likes it

On September 14th, Venus in Virgo trines the God of the Underworld in Capricorn.  It portends to be a weekend of astute psychological acumen.

The Goddess of Love is shy and self-effacing in Virgo.  Capricorn Pluto is the powerfully destructive overlord currently tapped to dismantle the status quo.  One would think it would be a terrible idea to have them knock boots, but there you’d be wrong.

birthofvenusSure, Pluto transits can be emotionally disastrous—moody and manipulative.  But trines involving this power player are much friendlier, especially with Venus as a partner.  Both planets are traveling through Earth signs.  They have a fundamental understanding.  Virgo appreciates Cappy’s demand for discipline and patience, while the Goat can get his head around the Virgin’s necessity for obsessive attention to detail.

Capricorn has his cardinal initiative and Virgo can always rely on her mutable flexibility.  Together they bolster one another.

Pluto is the planet of regeneration, Venus of relationship.  This transit will have a beautiful regenerative quality to it—breathing life back into areas that were for all intents and purposes dead in the water.  Maybe a project, maybe a relationship, maybe your hard won set of values (Venus).

Things are going to appear destined, with a solid atmosphere of ‘meant to be.’  Your desire to share secrets will become acute, for your instincts are ablaze with a fervent feel for intimacy.  Creativity will reach ardent depths demonstrating a precise psychological eye for how and why humans do what we do.

Yep, this weekend Aphrodite is attracting a rebirth.  So dust off your scallop shells and practice up on your contrapposto stances, folks—Love, Beauty and Value are up for renovation.
