Another BIG change occurred Christmas week—Saturn moved from Scorpio to Sagittarius.

From Fixed Water to Mutable Fire—

Succedent Emotion to Cadent Creativity—

An Earth planet going through a Fire sign.

Saturn has been in Scorpio since October of 2012. And now will be in Sagittarius until December 21, 2017.

Here are a few key dates to remember:

• Saturn retrogrades from March 14 to August 1, 2015 from 4º Sagittarius to 28º Scorpio
• he returns to Scorpio on June 14, 2015
• moves back into Sagittarius September 17, 2015
• reaches a 2º orb of his square with Neptune in Pisces February 2015
• the square perfects from November 19 to December 15, 2015
• from March 25- August 13, 2016, retrogrades a 2nd time from 16º to 9º Sagittarius
• retrogrades a 3rd time from April 5 to August 25, 2017 at 27º to 21º

So, what is this going to portend for the world at large,as well as we individuals chugging along?

I think we have already gotten a taste—right out of the gate!!

Most of you are familiar with the Sony/North Korea hack and the subsequent pulling and then the 180º turn around of the release of the satire “The Interview.”

Yeah, so what?

Well, the timing of the back track is ALL Saturn in Sagittarius.

Father Time was languishing in the anaretic degree of Scorpio when the Sony elite decided to cover their liabilities and let the North Korean government dictate whether American audiences got to see the film.

Crisis and over protection—29º Scorpio in a nutshell.

Well, then almost to the hour of Saturn’s ingress into the sign of the Archer, on December 23rd, Sony reversed course by announcing they would not bow to terroristic threats from a Communist dictatorship and go ahead with the release.

It has been heralded as a triumph of American free speech, liberty and freedom.  And that’s precisely one theme Saturn in the ninth sign champions.

It seems the tenants of our US constitution have again passed muster with the ol’ Taskmaster himself. No small feat, folks. The Founders knew what they were doing!

Yes, Sagittarius demands the truth. And, nicely enough, so does Saturn.

For the next 2 years, freedom and tolerance will be primary. Have no doubt.

We will see that Father Time as the Archer may react very forcefully to intrusions of freedom, such as the Sony hack. And what that means globally is yet to be seen.

Intellectual matters—truth and knowledge, and their mastery will be taken very seriously during Saturn’s sojourn through Sadge.

And hell, coupled with Pluto rampaging through Capricorn, maybe the student loan crisis of the last few decades will be finally, practically, addressed?

Closer to the home front, Saturn in Sagittarius will insist on the freedom to pursue the hero’s quest—large or small.  And while such escapades are not a classic Saturnine hobby, Father Time will erect the rules and limitations that safely facilitate those so inclined to have their romp in the meadow. Our sense of adventure will intertwine with a insatiable need for knowledge, leading us down many an untraveled path—but Saturn that consummate boy scout will insure we are always prepared.
