me or we?—libra’s total lunar eclipse—april 4th

In less than 12 hours we have the Libra/Aries Full Moon at 14º.

the-platonic-lament-1894-Not only is it a Full Moon but, in answer to the Equinox/New Moon two weeks ago, also the day of an Eclipse—a Total Lunar this time ’round—rare and bloody.

And on an even larger scale, tomorrow’s lunation speaks to events we were managing this time last Spring and Fall—full circle and/or full steam ahead.

There are many factors in play with this one, most notably: Sun conjunct Uranus, Mercury conjunct South Node, Jupiter trine Sun and last but not least, Sun & Moon square Pluto—t-square!

If you are the possessor of planets or points between 10º-17º of the Cardinal signs (and the Fire or Fixed signs, too) then this could potentially be a big event for you, with 14º-15º Cancer a dumping ground for a majority of the energies here—yikes, if you are the lucky one!

For the collective—lots of Fire, tons of Cardinal. Passion and initiative.

Those intentions set during the middle of March are coming to a head or gaining momentum depending on the necessary timeframe.

This Full Moon is on the Aries/Libra axis and is an Eclipse, therefore the Moon’s Nodes are conjunct the event (nodes = our past that greatly affects our future). So, it is very much a dynamic of “space or intimacy”—“mine or yours”—“me or we”—“individuality or co-operation”—or better yet, a lovely balance somewhere in between!

Yes, the past weighs heavily, but Pluto is engaged to force an evolution. Hard, painful, gut wrenching teardown then an Uranian-fueled forward thrust—if one is needed. Maybe it works out the attachment is rock solid and tomorrow’s Eclipse merely fans the fires of pleasure.

Well either way, by Summer’s end, we’ll get to partake these delights for a fourth parlay.

As always, look to the houses brought to the fore for precisely how this manifests personally for you.

Happy Blood Moon, everyone!

nobody said it was gonna be easy—march 21st thru 24th

Mikalojus_Konstantinas_Ciurlionis_-_CREATION_OF_THE_WORLD_IX_-_1905_-_6_VarsuvaWell, straight off the heals of yesterday’s glide into Spring, today we are faced with a bit of a reality check.

For the weekend into the week, Venus and Mercury will be put through the paces.

Venus is how we relate and bond—what we value. Mercury is our mind and communication style—how we learn. These are the areas of concentration for the next couple.

First, Taurus Venus begins her I/O/Q cycle with Sagittarius SaturnRX today at 4º.  This tense aspect creates a low-level feeling of self-consciousness, possibly about our values (Sagittarius) or even our physical looks and social relationships (Taurus). How we manage money and resources, too, may pop up.

Wherever Taurus is in our chart’s, we want the “good life”. The stable passions of a Fire Saturn can make it so. Fire is uncomfortable for Earth—so an adjustment (inconjunct) of perspective is needed.

the longest night—december 21st

Sunday, at approximately 6:05 PM EST, the Sun moves from Sagittarius to Capricorn, signaling the Winter Solstice.

Then, around 8:30 PM EST, Luna joins to exact their New Moon conjunction at 0º.

Arthur-Rackham-Illustration-042The shift from Autumn to Winter is conjoined with the pitch black point of the month, where intention barely begins to muster up its ultimate potential.

Quiet. Serene.

Since the Virgo Sun ingress this Summer, the New Moons  have fallen on or dangerously close to .

The purest of freshest starts.

Tomorrow’s event is no different.

Alright. So, first, I will discuss the high jinks of lovely Sagittarius/Capricorn Moon, then update the Uranus/Pluto Square and finally get on to the changing of the Season.

december 20th—solstice eve 2014: part 2

So, Mars moved into Aquarius on the 5th. But our dear Warrior has not contacted another planet (except the ever moving Moon) in major aspect since sextiling Saturn from Capricorn on December 1st.

Vintage-Old-Book-Illustration-037Twenty days!! That’s a long time, people.

Well, all of that is about to change and in a radical kinda way!!

This is Part 2 of my series on the build up to this year’s Winter Solstice, that is also the Capricorn New Moon, going down this Sunday, the 21st.

You can catch up with Part 1 right here, where I discussed Mercury, Neptune and Saturn’s status for the weekend.

Ok, so the God of War has been a lone wolf for almost 3 weeks, save an occasional visit from Luna.

On the  20th, all that changes.

december 20th—solstice eve 2014: part 1

This is the first of a three part series of posts detailing the busy Saturday preceding the Winter Solstice/New Moon on Sunday, the 21st.

1800s-Vintage-Illustrations-029Alright, the skies are brimming to the gills with Mutable and Cardinal escapades this weekend.

The only hold-out to speak of is dear old Saturn battling the chaos of Scorpio’s 29th degree. He moved to the anaretic position on December 14th and will remain there until the 23rd, when he finally crosses the border into Sagittarius.

His current locality points to a crisis of Scorpionic proportion. It’s crunch time for how we all relate to sex, death and taxes—you can toss in intimacy, too, for shits and giggles. Ha!

Metaphorically, we are tying up any loose ends related to the issues listed above. Whatever Saturn deems yet to be finalized, the seeds of culmination will be planted at this New Moon, for he will retrograde back into the 8th sign come June 2015 to complete.

Saturn leaves nothing unsound.

Yay!

While Father Time has his hands full with all that, our freshly ingressed Capricorn Mercury is sextiling Neptune in Pisces. We all will have an extra boost of intuitive dexterity at our disposal.

Ah, yes, the Trickster palling up with the God of Illusion makes for quite the environment for mischief. Clever little rascals, to bring a bit of gaiety with the bite of Capricorn’s devilish humor.

This folks, is just some of the energy to influence the weekend’s Solstice.

Exciting.

september 23rd & 24th—autumnal flux!

Ok.  Ready for this guys?

On September 22nd, at around 11:30 pm Central Standard Time, shortly after Pluto begins direct motion, the Sun moves from Virgo into Libra. This signals the change of the seasons.

Summer into Fall.

Alright, we get one full day of Autumn and then, on the night of the 24th at approximately 1:30 am CST, the New Moon occurs.

Wow!!  With all that’s mentioned above and Mars recently going into Sagittarius,  Wednesday morning is gonna feel so shiny and new.

Lots going on here.  So, let’s start at the center with the Sun—
