and for the weekend—social and on the rise—may 1st – 3rd

Well, super late last night Mercury moved into Gemini.

Herbert-James-Draper-The-Vintage-MornOur minds are a flit and a flutter with strong mental awareness. All the better to accompany the Moon in her current journey through Libra—another extra social, extra intellectual Air sign.

Mars nor the Sun are activated for the weekend, so it will most likely be a lazy couple spent reading and chatting—lounging about with our brains doing the heavy lifting.

And it is within the next few days the tough and menacing Pluto/Uranus square will officially break apart. We can all sigh a sigh of collective relief. Sure, residuals will linger but the worst is OVER!!!!

The good times continue to roll as Luna sextiles Leo Jupiter and trines Gemini Venus—benefics that make for the best of party partners—after zapping the North Node. Our timing is impeccable and we can’t help but keep a jolly smirk across our faces as we skip through the weekend.

Even Mercury opposing Sagittarius Saturn on Sunday won’t hinder us too badly, for the passionate and wise Scorpio Moon will trine Pisces Neptune easing the depressive ruminations Father Time throws our way.

So, our task is to enjoy the stimulating conversations the sky’s bevy of cerebral Air will grant us and revel in the amped energies of the waxing Moon—should be quite a nice start to May.

weekend augury—giving or getting?—april 17th – 19th

Alright.

If things have been going to your liking as of late, all this is gonna solidify the will to keep on keepin’ on. But if you’ve been frustrated with your daily energy levels and general productivity, suffering one roadblock after another—this is gonna make you want to beat your head against the pavement.

The waning Moon is currently moving through the initial degrees of Cardinal Aries soon to conjunct Uranus and square Pluto—further intensifying the above.

If it’s good, it’s gonna be real good. Hell, yeah!!!   If it’s bad—I am truly sorry.

But hold tight—there’s hope!

Saturday, at around 3PM EST, Luna will meet up with Sol for the Aries New Moon at 28°. I’ll dig deeper into this in a later post.

Let’s just say, if you are in the kickin’ ass group, this Fire lunation will continue to fuel the way. But if you are on the ass kicked end—a blessed new beginning is certainly possible.

Regardless, on Sunday, as the Moon slips into her Taurus comfort zone, Gemini Venus squares, and Taurus Mercury sextiles, Pisces Neptune.

I always like to see the God of the Illusion engaged on a Sunday. No matter what your work schedule looks like, I find Sunday’s to be the one day EVERYONE can use a break and dear Neptune certainly can deliver.

There will be a lazy haze shrouding the day.

Like a cool breeze (Gemini) drifting (Mutable) across a tranquil lake (Pisces) intent on whispering (Mercury) sweet nothings (Neptune) lovingly (Venus) to the statuesque pines (Taurus) ashore.

week ahead—buoyant recovery after the eclipse—april 6th – 9th

Ok, for our lovely Spring week ahead there is quite a bit of Jupterian activity to help us bounce back from the intense Eclipse/Full Moon over the past weekend.

edward-burne-jones-45-the-pilgrim-at-the-gate-of-idlenessThe waning Moon is now sailing through Scorpio, zinging Neptune and Pluto, and will end up in Sagittarius by week’s end—paying visit to Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus. Intensity of emotion and looming questions of ‘why?’ spice the atmosphere all week.

Pisces Chiron has moved out of tight sextile with Capricorn Pluto leaving us to experience the full strength of the Uranus/Pluto square at 15°/16°.  This points to an edgier demonstration of the revolution/evolution bite of the two. Sadly, gentle compassion during this tumultuous time will be harder to access.

The Aries Sun and Mercury exact their conjunctions with Uranus during the week, while Taurus Mars inconjuncts Sagittarius Saturn Rx in their first I/O/Q meeting. There are brilliantly brave ideas burning their way into reality nowadays and, if recognized, then given the proper structure, can take hold into something riotously vital.

Our minds not only get electrified by the genius of Uranus, but also smash into Pluto, God of the Underworld. The trick is to guard against unfounded suspicion and cynicism. These will only get in the way.

Instead, demand to see the positive in the most dire of situations, which will be aided my Mercury trining Leo Jupiter Rx for the King of Planet’s last interaction with a celestial body (other than the Moon) before turning direct on Wednesday. He revisits 12° – 22°—if you have points or planets here you get an extra boost to the joy and good fortune!!

The multitude of Spring Aries Fire combined with Jupiter’s about face signals a collective shift from contently navel gazing to a more pronounced need to interact with the outside world—conquer and leave your mark!

Ample, encouraging energy is available to bolster the work of Venus and Mars in Fixed Earth, while they labor to shore up the projects of Cardinal Fire.

Again, the Universe provides the building blocks for success.

me or we?—libra’s total lunar eclipse—april 4th

In less than 12 hours we have the Libra/Aries Full Moon at 14º.

the-platonic-lament-1894-Not only is it a Full Moon but, in answer to the Equinox/New Moon two weeks ago, also the day of an Eclipse—a Total Lunar this time ’round—rare and bloody.

And on an even larger scale, tomorrow’s lunation speaks to events we were managing this time last Spring and Fall—full circle and/or full steam ahead.

There are many factors in play with this one, most notably: Sun conjunct Uranus, Mercury conjunct South Node, Jupiter trine Sun and last but not least, Sun & Moon square Pluto—t-square!

If you are the possessor of planets or points between 10º-17º of the Cardinal signs (and the Fire or Fixed signs, too) then this could potentially be a big event for you, with 14º-15º Cancer a dumping ground for a majority of the energies here—yikes, if you are the lucky one!

For the collective—lots of Fire, tons of Cardinal. Passion and initiative.

Those intentions set during the middle of March are coming to a head or gaining momentum depending on the necessary timeframe.

This Full Moon is on the Aries/Libra axis and is an Eclipse, therefore the Moon’s Nodes are conjunct the event (nodes = our past that greatly affects our future). So, it is very much a dynamic of “space or intimacy”—“mine or yours”—“me or we”—“individuality or co-operation”—or better yet, a lovely balance somewhere in between!

Yes, the past weighs heavily, but Pluto is engaged to force an evolution. Hard, painful, gut wrenching teardown then an Uranian-fueled forward thrust—if one is needed. Maybe it works out the attachment is rock solid and tomorrow’s Eclipse merely fans the fires of pleasure.

Well either way, by Summer’s end, we’ll get to partake these delights for a fourth parlay.

nobody said it was gonna be easy—march 21st thru 24th

For the weekend into the week, Venus and Mercury will be put through the paces.

Venus is how we relate and bond—what we value. Mercury is our mind and communication style—how we learn. These are the areas of concentration for the next couple.

First, Taurus Venus begins her I/O/Q cycle with Sagittarius SaturnRX today at 4º.  This tense aspect creates a low-level feeling of self-consciousness, possibly about our values (Sagittarius) or even our physical looks and social relationships (Taurus). How we manage money and resources, too, may pop up.

Wherever Taurus is in our chart’s, we want the “good life”. The stable passions of a Fire Saturn can make it so. Fire is uncomfortable for Earth—so an adjustment (inconjunct) of perspective is needed.

the vanguard sets out—super new moon/vernal equinox/total solar eclipse—march 20th

warwickgobleWell, to say the Heavens have a lot going on tomorrow is an understatement.

Beautifully rare to have a super moon eclipse on the day of an equinox!

It all amounts to a potent time to set intentions—this time not just for a month but for the season and whole damn year!

Here’s a chronological list of all that happens:

  • ∼4AM – 8AM EST: a Total Solar Eclipse occurs that can been seen over parts of Europe, Africa, etc.
  • ∼5:30AM EST: the SuperMoon New Moon occurs at 29º Pisces
  • ∼2:00PM EST: the Aries Moon trines Sagittarius SaturnRx at 4º
  • ∼6:45PM EST: the Spring Equinox occurs as the Sun ingresses into Aries

During the length of the day, Taurus Venus approaches her inconjunct with SaturnRx and Pisces Mercury, his with Leo JupiterRx. Both of which perfect on Saturday.

And of course, the Uranus/Pluto square is still holding strong at 15º.

Since last summer, our nation has been overrun with one controversial story of race relations in the US after another—specifically how African Americans are treated by white Americans.

This is just a list off the top of my head. It can go on and on. Terrible and terrifying things.

In my life, I’ve never known a time when ‘race’ wasn’t a volatile subject. But it is obvious to me that in the recent months the conversation has exploded with incidents (or are we just simply listening, now?) and outrage about the brutality and injustice of being black in America.

Out of the shadows, there have been some positives to come from this litany of disgusting abuse—namely, we marked a huge milestone with the 50th anniversary of the Freedom March on March 9th.

And that, dear readers, leads me to the point of my post.

accepting the challenge—mars with jupiter/uranus/pluto—march 9th – 11th

Edward-Robert-Hughes-Painting-018Late last night, Aries Mars trined Leo Jupiter Rx and then, in the wee hours of the morning, he conjuncted Uranus. Tomorrow, the God of War will square Capricorn Pluto.

Venus recently made her way through each of these very aspects leading into last week’s Full Moon and now its her valiant paramour’s turn to do the same.

Very similar vibe but also very different.

For one thing, our physical energy for the next few days will be off the charts! Unless afflicted by something in the natal chart, it will simply seem as if our vigor knows no bounds.  Collectively, we simply want to get out and meet life head on—play as if our souls depended on it!!

Alright, we are actually in the thick of this RIGHT NOW, so on to the particulars.

  • Luna trines Cappy Pluto and opposes Pisces Chiron
  • Sun conjuncts (albeit widely) Chiron (adding himself to the reformed Jupiter Rx/Pluto/Chiron Yod)

smokin’ hot—venus with uranus, jupiter and pluto—march 4th

And well, today, Venus conjuncts Aries Uranus, trines Leo Jupiter Rx and squares Capricorn Pluto.

Fire!!

This is the sizzling build up for tomorrow’s Full Moon and it’s gonna have us consumed with hot, torrid looovvvveeee for the next couple days!

Love and art; love and money; love and values—the lack or abundance of it, the gutt wrenching possibilities of it, the desirous annihilation of it.

A conjunction, a trine and a square—

To start, Aphrodite under Uranian influence is eye-catching. This is where form meets weird—and we are transfixed. We will be on high alert to those subtle and sometimes not so, ques that magnetize us to others and them to us in return. The more erratic the sentiment, the more it titilates—enough friction to burn.

Venus receiving a trine from Leo Jupiter is a gift. Joy and social charm are exaggerated to a magnificent degree—too much of a good thing in this case is definitely wonderful. We are experiencing the pull of mind-blowing seduction and with the aid of a Fire Jupiter, can express its grandeur fully.

Lastly, Pluto is involved in tense aspect, therefore this gripping attraction may prove to actually be a sleazy revulsion. Or, possibly worse, a foolish obsession.

The God of the Underworld loves hard and craves satisfaction to the core. Things turn on a dime before the inhaled breath is released. The clutches of Pluto could leave the Goddess of Love singed. Or could deepen the allure.

I, for one, am loving these Aries transits.
