it’s over!!! (mostly)—mercury direct—feb 11th

Lovely-Vintage-Illustration-Clip-Art-055Ok, ladies and gentlemen, today, Aquarius Mercury begins perceived forward movement at 1º of the Fixed Air sign.

Horray!!!

This is fabulous news for many. The last 3 weeks have been fraught with a multitude of communication/travel breakdowns in my circle and probably yours, as well.

Busy Hermes begins his trek back through Aquarius, where he again meets up with Saturn, the Nodes, Uranus and finally full out opposes Leo Jupiter before clearing the shadow on the 3rd of March. (This, my dears, is the date we are fully out of the woods.)

No worries. All that means is there is still time to get all those sloppy loose ends tied nicely in pretty bows and definitively cross those illusive t’s and dot those pesky i’s.

Look to the house 1º Aquarius occupies to shine a light on what you get to rework again in the coming weeks.

Ok?

Ok.

a dash of logic—merc rx sextile saturn—feb. 5th

Lovely-Vintage-Illustration-Clip-Art-055Today Aquarius Mercury Rx is sextiling Sagittarius Saturn at 3º.

This is the second time these two have met while in the Air and Fire signs, but the only time this go round they will aspect while a retrograde is in effect.

To refresh—Saturn is time and discipline, while Mercury is our mind and learning capabilities.

Easy aspects between the pair, such as this sextile, point to innate decision making aptitude.  There is a natural patience available that will forego rash judgments, choosing the logical, steady course instead.

When used to its highest expression, the added influence of Retrograde Mercury signifies thoughts and plans of action of a more internal trajectory. Ideas that begin on the personal level and work their way to the outer world, rather than the environment working on the individual.

It’s more of ‘what can I do today to better things for my future?’ Rather than ‘such and such has happened, now I must adapt to the new stimuli.’

For the next couple, the affairs of your Aquarius sector will have the benifit of steady, rational Earth-tempered Fire.

This can only be seen as a boon.

And if the retrograde still muddies Saturn’s truth for you, these two will meet for a third time on the 19th, sans backward motion.

tons of celestial stuff—jan 30th

Alright!15_waterbabies_goble_color

How’s Merc Retch treating everyone?

More than one person on my FB has lamented about broken computers and broken cars.

Ah, well, hopefully they have seen the last of the high jinks and no one else falls prey to Retrograde tricks.

Friday is a BUSY day and is a main precursor to next Tuesday’s Leo Full Moon.

So, let’s see what’s what.

Today will be packed with culminating energies, including the aforementioned Winged Messenger himself. He and the Aquarius Sun will conjunct at 10º. They have not been intertwined since October, when they joined in the Cardinal Air sign, Libra.

The difference this go round, in Aquarius, is the agenda will be one of running that mouth with little filter (something Libra provided the last time).

Yep, with the ego (Sun) coupled with the mind (Mercury) in an Fixed AIR sign (get it?) there is a tendency to have strong opinions and not be shy tellin’ everybody about it.

If this is a trait you lack on a general level—you get to be a motor mouth for the weekend!! If not, you’ll probably need to do many in your circle the favor of STFU and listen instead—that is your challenge.  Hopefully, Mercury Rx will help with the latter.

Next up, lovely Pisces Venus is squaring Sagittarius Saturn at the 3º.

This will most likely cause us to be extra self-conscious of how we look, physically, even down to the ear rings we choose for the evening. Our interactions will prove super awkward and clumsy and leave us feeling heavily unworthy.

Mind you, these are emotions not necessarily based in reality.

The saving grace here is, if we are able to recognize the above tendencies, we can about-face and use Piscean compassion and Sagittarian truth to give ourselves a break.

Relax and refuse to be so hard on yourself!

(Another route this may take is in our intimate relationships. If a lack of love is poisoning the coupling, Venus/Saturn will scream it’s presence. Maybe it is a time to speak up OR shut-up and listen! Keep reading to see how Mars/Pluto/Chiron can help.)

Lastly, Pisces Mars tangos with 14º Pluto and 15º Chiron in a sextile and conjunction, respectively.

The God of War in easy aspect with the God of the Underworld portends to immense determination and stamina.

All those loose ends you are trying to get sorted under this month’s Mercury Retrograde are gonna get the added drive of Mars/Pluto this weekend!

Yay!

Then tomorrow, dear Mars moves into exact conjunction with the Maverick. This brings deep healing to actions and initiatives. Purging the old and unhealthy to make room for the fresh and revitalized.

For example, I started cleaning out my herbal tincture closet, yesterday. (I say ‘closet’, it is actually the crawl space under the stairwell in the old farmhouse—hello, Pluto!) I haven’t had the time or energy to attempt this for the SIX YEARS they have been waiting. Now is the time!!

Alright folks, this is what we’ve got to work with—have at it!

Remember, we have been feeling these energies all week, they are simply at their strongest today.

Hold tight, it all fades quickly.

season of the water bearer—jan 20th

Tuesday, the 20th, sees the Sun ingressing to the 11th sign of Aquarius, followed shortly by the Moon.

lightning-1909The two Luminaries conjunct at 0º roughly around 8AM EST.

We’ll be waking to a new day, a new astrological month and a new lunation cycle.

Alright!

The first New Moon of 2015 continues last year’s pattern of Sun ingresses coinciding with the start of a new Lunar month. The zero degree of a sign is mighty potent and, therefore, adds quite a punch to the energy backing intentions set at this time.

And true to Aquarius’ unconventional nature there will be a SECOND New Moon February 18th at the crisis-laden 29th degree.

Oh Boy!

So, let’s get to know Aquarius a little bit better to best utilize the celestial toys we get to play with this month!

venus opposes jupiter—jan 19th

Monday, the 19th, Aquarius Venus opposes Leo Jupiter Rx at 20º.

4.2.7They formed their first inconjunct during Christmas Week last month and now it is Leo/Aquarius time. The opposition is Aphrodite’s purest meeting with the King of Planets in their I/O/Q cycle.

It is a fabulous precursor to the Leo Full Moon on February 3rd, since it highlights the energies of a Feminine (Venus/Moon) and Masculine (Jupiter/Sun) planet along the Fixed Fire/Air axis.

So, what does that mean for the beginning of our week?

BIG picture, anyone?—mercury into aquarius—jan 4th

So, Mercury is on deck to join Venus in Aquarius Sunday the 4th at around 10PM EST. Just two short hours before the Cancer/Capricorn Full Moon.

Free-Vintage-Animals-Clip-Art-005Nearly back to back ingresses for the powerhouse worker bees extraordinaire!

Just gettin’ amped for when they conjunct on the 12th is all! More about that later.

Alright.

The winged Messenger is going to be in Aquarius for awhile, since on January 21st he will Retrograde at 17º, to begin Direct motion again on February 11th at 1º. More on this later, as well.

Aquarius is Fixed Air, ruled by Uranus.

This signals an inconsistent yet stubborn intellectual disposition geared toward radical mental exploration.

As Hermes flies through the sign of the Water Bearer our minds gravitate to solid facts and lofty humanitarian goals. Social reform and humankind’s greatest potential. Aquarius gladly bends the rules to breaking in search for absolute universal ‘truth’.

All Air signs love the role of Devil’s advocate, and Mercury in the 11th sign is it’s champion. Nothing like a bit of controversial pot stirring to get this astro placement giddy.

Collectively, under this transit, we will be able to see and synthesize BIG picture concepts a bit easier. There may be a tendency to become over-opinionated and cold, but our minds could just as easily bend toward the innovative and genius.

All are Aquarius’ bread and butter.

Yes, during Mercury’s time in the 11th sign, we get a chance to release the need to be liked—that is not high on the priority list.

And instead, think up glorious tenets of eccentric dogma capable of blowing our minds wide open.

Just right to keep us entertained during a cold, long winter season.

you zig, then i’ll zag—venus into aquarius—jan 3rd

The Goddess of Love and Beauty leaves Capricorn this Saturday, January 3rd, for the Fixed Air sign, Aquarius and will remain there until the 27th.

January and February are the coldest months of the year—not just weather wise but also astrologically.

Let me explain:  Capricorn and his succeeding sign, Aquarius are not the best with the feels. The Goat prefers practical results on the material plane—this is how he shows love and caring. Likewise with the Water Bearer, the feels are all in the mind. Discussing and brainstorming radical concepts are how they demonstrate friendship and acceptance.

So, from the time all the worker bees make their exodus from Sagittarius between Thanksgiving and Christmas until they all congregate in Pisces come the end of February—the feels are gonna be frozen solid.

Chilly, aloof, detached.

Aquarius.

BUT—
