new moon in gemini—givin’ that side-eye shade—june 16th

Mikalojus_Konstantinas_Ciurlionis_-_FORTRESS_-_1904_-_5_VarsuvaToday is the New Moon in Gemini at 25°. Mars is conjunct the luminary duo; Jupiter and Uranus move to exact their trine; Saturn sits at 29°.

It all goes down a couple of hours from now. Waning turns to waxing. We begin anew.

Yes, lovely, BUT has anyone but me noticed how stingy some have been the month of Gemini?

Not about money—I’m specifically talking about the doling out of human interaction. I have noticed example upon example of people who simply can’t be bothered to even acknowledge others, much less engage in a caring manner. Not aggressive mean, just choosing to turn a blind eye and simply ignore.

Just miserly and vacant. Social snubs of the highest order.

All over the place—for weeks now!

This is out of the ordinary behavior and I can pinpoint only that it coincides with the Sun being in the third sign. Do the Twins have a reputation for snobbishness that I have overlooked?

So, what’s the deal?

I realize the Twins is not the usual sign one goes to for depth of emotion and nurture, but come on!  The Twins don’t ignore the world! To the contrary, they are ravenously curious and can’t help but run those mouths about what they see and experience!

Why has it been so silent on so many fronts, then? Direct questions meeting crickets!

Is it due the fact every Gemini planet has had to oppose Sagittarius Saturn? But that doesn’t last the whole month! Is it because Mars is in the mix? No, again that speaks to engagement. The recent Mercury retrograde?  That doesn’t mean silence—quite the opposite.

Why the collective freeze out? Why, when a simple “hey, I see you,” would suffice?

So, this New Moon, I pose the questions: Where are you a stingy miser? Where, when and what do you ignore like a pouting child? Who do you punish with silence? Why? What are the repercussions? Who really suffers and what is really lost? Who has frozen you out?

weekend, now—pivots and action points—june 12th – 14th

Rossetti_1915_Sing_Song_Girls_AngelSo, Mercury is now direct!! Neptune is now retrograde; Saturn is hovering at the zero degree. Jupiter and Uranus are still givin’ the good vibes from their fiery thrones and the Sun and Mars are of one mind in Gemini.

That’s the weekend in a nutshell, folks.

Luna will spend today and tomorrow in Taurus—slow and steady and oh, so sensual—interacting with Neptune and Chiron in Pisces and Venus in Leo. All nice for a relaxing weekend. She will then move to Gemini on Sunday, conjuncting Mercury and opposing Saturn as he regresses into Scorpio that night—gearing up mentally for the work week ahead.

The Sun overtakes Mars at 23° Gemini on Sunday, as well—beginning a new cycle for our Warrior.

In one way or another, everything mentioned leads back to the intellectualism of Gemini.

Ideas, ideas, ideas. Retracing to inject cheerful wit and bold genius.

Alright.

week ahead—scattered, but so what!!—may 18th – 21st

Arthur-Rackham-Illustration-036We wake today with a waxing Moon in Gemini after last night’s Taurus New Moon.

Ok, so there are three general events for the week—the Moon working her way through the third and fourth signs, Mercury going retrograde (today around 10PM EST) and the Sun ingressing to the sign of the Twins.

Yep. The majority goes down in Gemini.  Mutable Air.

An intellectual, flighty, witty, superficial zone, full of bright ideas and irony.

Today and tomorrow, the Moon will oppose Saturn, conjunct Mars and Mercury and sextile Uranus. With this and the retrograde, our minds will be scattered to the winds—BUT SO WHAT!!!!

It is a wonderful couple of days to brainstorm in high Gemini fashion, not insisting on a death grip of control. For when Luna moves to Cancer on Wednesday, the need for control will amp up, exponentially. And that’s OK, too.

A Cancer Moon is strong and touchy feely Water will drench us all as she conjuncts Venus and interacts with each and every outer planet Titan in a succession of fierce Cardinal mothering.

Geez!! How and what we nurture will take center stage!

This gives us a brief respite from all things Gemini, for the Sun ingresses Thursday morning almost precisely as the Leo Jupiter/Capricorn Pluto Rx quincunx exacts. More on both later.

Ah, Gemini—Spring’s malleable harbinger of Summer.

a day that can’t be pinned down—sun conjunct neptune—feb 26th

It will probably come as no shock to many of you that last night at midnight, the Sun and Neptune exacted theireb26c-1 conjunction at 7º16′ Pisces.

To accompany the watery mist of this conjunction, the Moon is squaring the pair from Gemini, today. Also, a sign not known for it’s stable nature.

Having Venus, Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, the South Node and Saturn all in Fire signs, generates a consuming steam wafting from the murky Piscean depths. Those who can naturally navigate these waters with spry agility have access to creative talents which will abound with imaginative Neptunian fervor.

And luckily, the Jupiter Rx/Pluto/Chiron yod has reformed, lending a needed Leonine focal point for those of us who require a palpable material expression.

The last week has felt unsolid and unhinged to me. There’s simply a sense that the bottom will fall out of our entire existence, either from decayed rot or fundamental illusion. Maybe both.

This is precisely how a Neptune transit usually feels. The best course of action is to surrender and drift.

Just float along.

Yesterday and today, the conjunction is at its most vital. Remember, the fade will fade, I promise.

december 6th—full moon schoolin’ swap meet

Arthur-Rackham-Illustration-014

Around 7:30 AM EST, tomorrow, December 6th, the Sagittarius Sun opposes Luna for the Gemini Full Moon at 14º.

Mercury is also conjunct the Sun. The two will square Pisces Chiron and trine Aries Uranus.

Watery Fireworks dumped at the feet of a scattered Gemini Moon.

Uh oh. Uncomfortable.

All this emotional drama gushing at the Air signs, as of late. It’s more than some EVER want to handle.

And it is amazing to me how much play Chiron and Uranus have gotten in so many major events since I started this blog this past Summer.

Unreal.

By now, we should all be masters at effortlessly soothing our weary psyches as our deepest scars repeatedly surface, quickly and brilliantly to boot!

Ha! Oh, to be so lucky.

Speaking of painful wounds, this month’s Full Moon will  also incorporate an inconjunct from Capricorn Pluto to the Gemini Moon. This adds the faint feeling of jeopardy to the day—danger to our very security just below the surface.

I am working on a post concerning the long, long, long dance of Pluto, Chiron and Uranus during their sojourns through Capricorn, Pisces and Aries, respectively.

But I digress . . .
