week ahead—critical control—june 1st – 4th

Sunset-by-Caspar-David-FriedrichHoly crap, it’s June!!!

And for the first week, it’s actually a busy couple of days.

Today, the Moon finishes her monthly in Scorpio, moving to Sadge joining Saturn at 0°. The intensity of this placement is exacerbated by Luna and Father Time being at critical degrees—but trying to keep it all under tight rein, like Scorpio and Saturn are want to do. Tense!

Tuesday sees the Gemini/Sagittarius Lunation, where Mars plays an important role. (I will go into more detail in a subsequent post.) Then by suppertime, we contend with a wide Grand Fire Trine among the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus, that will no doubt help with the FM hangover.

Wednesday, Luna goes VOC just after sunrise and remains so till after sunset.  Sandbag the work day, if you can, unless, of course, you need to use the Void to your advantage!

Thursday, the Capricorn Moon works her way through aspects to the Nodes and Neptune to reach Pluto, late. The vibe is reminiscent of how we began the week under a Scorpio Moon conjunct Saturn—emotional discipline and control.

Also, similar is the day’s critical degree/out of sign square between Cancer Venus and Sagittarius Saturn Rx at 29° and 0°, respectively.

Don’t let this get you down. Remember your worth and know you have what it takes!

nov. 28th – dec. 17th—thinking plump and happy

Our winged Messenger crossed into Sagittarius country late on Thanksgiving night.

Maud-Humphrey-Vintage-Children-002Today, he is squaring Neptune in Pisces, and we all may feel a bit overwhelmed mentally. Or maybe, hopefully, that’s just me.

Again, hopefully this isn’t interfering in any travel plans for returning home. If it is, then I wish you the best of luck with your return. Dear Neptune never provides the most direct route.

Anyway.

For his remainder in Sagittarius—what is it like for Mercury, the Planet of Communication and Thinking to be traveling through the 9th sign?

Well, we will be susceptible to overindulgence.  Jupiter, who rules Sagittarius, is the God of expansion. Whatever we pick up now to play with will most likely get blown out of proportion.

Maybe good, maybe bad. Totally depends.

I’m aiming (get it?) for good!

october 27th—waves crashing

Monday of next week is going to be an emotional one, folks.

Arthur-Rackham-Illustration-016Scorpio Sun conjunct Venus will trine Pisces Neptune and the watery abyss engulfs us in a glamorous mantle.

All the while, the transiting Sagittarius Moon revives the grand-Fire-trine with Leo Jupiter to form a Kite formation along the Libra/Aries Nodal Axis.

Remember, with the Nodal Axis as a player, collective lessons to bolster our future souls are at the forefront.

Fire and Water are the zodiac’s emoters and considering newly ingressed Sun and Venus in Scorpio, the dealings of the day will be serious as a heart attack.

Fiery, sentimental, Water works.

Can you say ‘passion’?

october 12th-14th—still smoldering

The Kite formation along the Libra/Aries Nodal Axis is still up in the heavens sans Aries Uranus and the Moon.

girlwithtreeman-029This subtraction takes the erratic emotional tinge off and allows the Libra Sun and Venus to be buoyed by the generous spirit of Mars and Jupiter.

When happy, there are none more gregarious than Leo and Sagittarius!

The precision of the Kite’s tip is aimed directly at the North Node at 19° Libra, bringing our past warring to the triumphant forward peace-time of Cardinal Air.

All the fiery initiative to balance and create the future lasts a short while longer. As Mars moves out of tight orb with the South Node on the 15th, the grand-Fire-trine slowly begins to dissipate.

Don’t panic though—all the intentions created and further fueled during last week’s Eclipse will manifest within the months to come.

This has simply been the planting.

october 8th—total lunar eclipse—bloody fire in the sky

Wednesday is this month’s Aries Full Moon.

And oh boy, is it a doozy.

For this post, I have compiled a rabbit hole of links to all things ECLIPSE—astronomy and astrology—as well as a couple points by me, tailored to this particular event.

Enjoy.

october 7th-12th—giving the fire some backbone

Arthur-Rackham-Illustration-042The Kite between the grand-Fire-trine, Sun/Venus/North Node and Uranus/South Node crystallizes on Tuesday, the 7th.  The Sun’s end of the opposition along the Nodal Axis is sextiling Mars in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Leo.  The Moon is in Aries and well on her way to move into position for the Eclipse on Wednesday—of which I will post seperately.

Kites allow us to access the treasure trove of contained energy in a grand-trine.  This particular event is bringing the immense power of a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse into the frey.

The universe is giving us notice it is time to move forward.

So, in this post, I’m gonna break down the new ingredients that make up the Kite formation.

october 4th—kindling for the bonfire: part 1

This Saturday, October 4th, the grand-Fire-trine perfects, meaning the orbs of  trining Mars, Jupiter and Uranus will be tightest of the whole event.

It is also the day a variety of choice planetary activities occur.

Mercury moved into the 8th sign of Scorpio back on the 27th of September. He has gotten almost through the 2nd degree of the Fixed Water sign, but has slowed and turns retrograde on this day.

Retrograde Mercury inspires anxiety in more than a few astrology buffs.  But not to worry.  He certainly can be managed.  And yes, it is good thinking to expect all manner of glitches in all things mechanical and/or technological, at this time.  It is also not a good time to START new projects necessarily, but instead spend time in reflection.—most importantly, with Scorpio and Libra themed issues.

Such as:

  • How do I communicate my desires and wishes in my most important relationships?   How can I make it better?
  • Do I communicate too intensely to create an intimate bond?  Could I sometimes take it down a notch?
  • Do I keep things too superficial?  Could I risk being more courageous?
  • Am I too geared toward people-pleasing?  Does it get in the way of an authentic exchange?
  • Am I too suspicious for no reason?  Am I too accomodating for no reason?
  • How can I learn to be confident in my ability to make decisions?

See where this is going?

fast and dirty—t-squares, boomerangs & kites, oh my!

In anticipation for the upcoming grand-Fire-trine/Kite formation this October, I want to post a fast and dirty about astrology’s ‘outs’.

ornamentHuh?

Well, what I mean is, sometimes the planets line up in a manner that gets a little bit tricky, little bit stressful, little bit scary, yeah?

But the cosmos always provides a way OUT.  This is a post about these indispensable tools.

All three demonstrate the functional beauty of the opposition!

Remember, the ‘out’ is triggered by either a natal planet/point, a transiting planet or another person’s planet/point through synastry.

Shall we?

october 1st -10th—an astrological bonfire

So, we got a taste of this action recently on the 25th, yes?

Starting around the 1st, Mars in Sagittarius is moving into orb with Uranus and Leo and IT IS ON!!

This aspect will continue to gain strength until it perfects around the 4th of October, then will last well into the week after.  It is forming the bedrock for a Kite formation with the Sun/Venus/Nodal Axis/Moon/Uranus during October’s Full Moon/Eclipse on the 8th.

And like any grand-Fire-trine should, it’s gonna go out with a bang, folks!

There will be a Yod involving the Moon in Taurus on October 10th, tying up Mars and Jupiter in the mix.

So much action.  You’d think someone lit a match in a gas can!

I will post about the Kite, Lunar Eclipse—all of it separately.  Right now, I want to concentrate on the grand-Fire-trine.

september 25th—jupiter trine uranus—abundance for the collective

Jupiter is at 15° of Leo, Uranus is retrograde and at 15° of Aries.

The universe is being rather generous with it’s Fire, ain’t it?  And, it’s only gonna get hotter.  Right in time for the growing chill of autumn.

This Thursday’s trine is a precursor to the 10 day long big event, when Sagittarius Mars joins the party, making a grand-Fire-trine, from roughly the 1st-10th of October.

Lots of time to reap the benefits.  So, let’s get to know these fiery guys better and break down what a trine will do to blend their energies.

Uranus made his move from Pisces to Aries back in 2010 and will be in the Cardinal sign until 2019.  This is a position of the heavens he hasn’t traveled since the late 1920’s-early 1930’s.  Those were tumultuous times, as are these.
