the vanguard sets out—super new moon/vernal equinox/total solar eclipse—march 20th

warwickgobleWell, to say the Heavens have a lot going on tomorrow is an understatement.

Beautifully rare to have a super moon eclipse on the day of an equinox!

It all amounts to a potent time to set intentions—this time not just for a month but for the season and whole damn year!

Here’s a chronological list of all that happens:

  • ∼4AM – 8AM EST: a Total Solar Eclipse occurs that can been seen over parts of Europe, Africa, etc.
  • ∼5:30AM EST: the SuperMoon New Moon occurs at 29º Pisces
  • ∼2:00PM EST: the Aries Moon trines Sagittarius SaturnRx at 4º
  • ∼6:45PM EST: the Spring Equinox occurs as the Sun ingresses into Aries

During the length of the day, Taurus Venus approaches her inconjunct with SaturnRx and Pisces Mercury, his with Leo JupiterRx. Both of which perfect on Saturday.

And of course, the Uranus/Pluto square is still holding strong at 15º.

reversing on a dime—feb 18th

preliudas-1024x871Alright, today is the second Aquarius New Moon, the first occurring back on January 20th.

It is also the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice, therefore signaling the Chinese New Year!!

As if that weren’t enough, the New Moon is followed shortly by the Sun ingressing to Pisces.

the universe bids you to have some FUN!

 

At almost precisely 6:30 AM CST, on Saturday, November the 22nd, the Sun perfects his conjunction with the Moon, shortly after moving from Scorpio to the 9th sign of Sagittarius.

While most of us slumber, he passes over the Scorpio/Sagittarius cusp to immediately start a new Lunar month at sunrise, at 0º.

The very next day, the asteroid Chiron in Pisces turns direct at about 5:45 PM in the evening!!

Folks, this is a crap ton of Mutable energy swirling about the Heavens.

Flexible, adaptable, malleable!!!

new moon, august 25th—the virgin gets real

August 25th, the Moon pays a visit to the Sun in the sign of Virgo.

New Moons are the chance to get a new perspective or initiate action on the area of your chart housing the conjunction.  It comes once a month, is in a different house and they are a supurb way to tweek your life toward the most badass you.

It is Virgo time!!  This sign is practical, efficient and organized.  No other Moon will give you the energy to make real world, real time changes where they are needed.  This is not the emotional headiness of Pisces or the take no prisoners power of Aries—this is roll your sleeves up and get that garage cleaned out magnificence!!!

getting the big red bouncy ball rolling

Sun_Moon_Full_2kToday is the New Moon in Leo (this afternoon, precisely, across most of the U.S.)!!

New Moons are all about setting intentions for the upcoming cycle.  To do this right, it helps to get a grasp on the energies at play in the skies to best utilize this period.  After all, you can’t really paint a watercolor with crayons, can you?  Hell, you could try but why?—ugh, the stress.

So, here’s a run down of the toys we can play with:

There is a smash up of Leo energy in the heavens—Sun/Moon/Jupiter conjunct.   Or another way to say it is—the astrological players of individuality/emotions/expansion intertwined in a flaming sphere of Leo goodness.  Yeah!!
