. . . becoming your destiny—sept. 11th 2016

Came across this quote yesterday as I lazily surfed online. I have read it dozens of times, as most of you probably have, too. Only this time, its wisdom lined up nicely with what I am seeing in the current sky.

“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Line by line breakdown:

  • thoughts into words–>Virgo Sun conjunct a retrograde Virgo Mercury trining Capricorn Moon conjunct Pluto
  • words into action–>Sagittarius Mars squaring the Sun/Mercury conjunction
  • actions into habits–>Libra Venus squaring the Moon/Pluto conjunction
  • habits into character–>tight Sagittarius Saturn square to Pisces Neptune
  • character into destiny–>Virgo/Pisces nodal axis tied into Saturn, Pluto and Neptune

Virgo is practical—good ol’ everyday nitty-gritty. The brain working with the nuts and bolts of hands in dirt. A retrograde Mercury in its own sign is a blessing—a reflective opportunity to get completely clear on what tricks your mind plays on you. Those little whispers are your greatest tool or your greatest liability.

Allow the intense feeling wisdom of Moon conjunct Pluto to be the guide.

Pay attention to the beginning.

How do your thoughts nourish you?  How do they sabotage you?  Are you proud of the result of those little seedlings?

new moon in gemini—givin’ that side-eye shade—june 16th

Mikalojus_Konstantinas_Ciurlionis_-_FORTRESS_-_1904_-_5_VarsuvaToday is the New Moon in Gemini at 25°. Mars is conjunct the luminary duo; Jupiter and Uranus move to exact their trine; Saturn sits at 29°.

It all goes down a couple of hours from now. Waning turns to waxing. We begin anew.

Yes, lovely, BUT has anyone but me noticed how stingy some have been the month of Gemini?

Not about money—I’m specifically talking about the doling out of human interaction. I have noticed example upon example of people who simply can’t be bothered to even acknowledge others, much less engage in a caring manner. Not aggressive mean, just choosing to turn a blind eye and simply ignore.

Just miserly and vacant. Social snubs of the highest order.

All over the place—for weeks now!

This is out of the ordinary behavior and I can pinpoint only that it coincides with the Sun being in the third sign. Do the Twins have a reputation for snobbishness that I have overlooked?

So, what’s the deal?

I realize the Twins is not the usual sign one goes to for depth of emotion and nurture, but come on!  The Twins don’t ignore the world! To the contrary, they are ravenously curious and can’t help but run those mouths about what they see and experience!

Why has it been so silent on so many fronts, then? Direct questions meeting crickets!

Is it due the fact every Gemini planet has had to oppose Sagittarius Saturn? But that doesn’t last the whole month! Is it because Mars is in the mix? No, again that speaks to engagement. The recent Mercury retrograde?  That doesn’t mean silence—quite the opposite.

Why the collective freeze out? Why, when a simple “hey, I see you,” would suffice?

So, this New Moon, I pose the questions: Where are you a stingy miser? Where, when and what do you ignore like a pouting child? Who do you punish with silence? Why? What are the repercussions? Who really suffers and what is really lost? Who has frozen you out?

weekend, now—pivots and action points—june 12th – 14th

Rossetti_1915_Sing_Song_Girls_AngelSo, Mercury is now direct!! Neptune is now retrograde; Saturn is hovering at the zero degree. Jupiter and Uranus are still givin’ the good vibes from their fiery thrones and the Sun and Mars are of one mind in Gemini.

That’s the weekend in a nutshell, folks.

Luna will spend today and tomorrow in Taurus—slow and steady and oh, so sensual—interacting with Neptune and Chiron in Pisces and Venus in Leo. All nice for a relaxing weekend. She will then move to Gemini on Sunday, conjuncting Mercury and opposing Saturn as he regresses into Scorpio that night—gearing up mentally for the work week ahead.

The Sun overtakes Mars at 23° Gemini on Sunday, as well—beginning a new cycle for our Warrior.

In one way or another, everything mentioned leads back to the intellectualism of Gemini.

Ideas, ideas, ideas. Retracing to inject cheerful wit and bold genius.

Alright.

and for the week—energy, imagination, passion and calm—june 8th – 11th

George-Barbier-LAir-868-35This week’s skies are dominated by the Gemini Sun/Mars conjunction sextiling Aries Uranus and Leo Jupiter, who themselves are in trine. At first the sextile to Jupiter is the strongest, but by week’s end, as the Moon comes to help, the interaction with Uranus takes command.

What it all means is we can look forward to a relatively productive week.

We will effortlessly have enough energy to get what needs done, done. It simply won’t cross our minds to procrastinate—we’ll be squarely in the ‘now’ of doing—Mars cazimi to the Sun and all! Jupiter adds confidence and good humor; Uranus lends genius and riotous know-how.

I’m not complaining.

On the emotional front, well, lovely Leo Venus and dapper Gemini Mercury Rx* sextile for most of the week. Our minds can easily tap into the beauty all around—this is a pleasant and calming boost to the whole shebang!

For her part, Luna is moving to Pisces as I type, shortly to square Saturn Rx in Sagittarius—perfect mentality to get the work week started. As she drifts through the Mutable waters Monday and Tuesday, intense imaginative solicitude will be collectively available.

Then by Wednesday, she has switched gears to the fiery passions of Aries, fueling the energies of the boys in Gemini. She interacts benevolently with most, save for a square to Capricorn Pluto Rx which may cause some minor power struggles. But by Thursday evening she is VOC, allowing us to rest up overnight to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for Friday!

Yeah, still not complaining.

* I have noticed a glaring lack of hand-wringing about Mercury retrograde this go-round in Gemini. What’s goin’ on?

week ahead—critical control—june 1st – 4th

Sunset-by-Caspar-David-FriedrichHoly crap, it’s June!!!

And for the first week, it’s actually a busy couple of days.

Today, the Moon finishes her monthly in Scorpio, moving to Sadge joining Saturn at 0°. The intensity of this placement is exacerbated by Luna and Father Time being at critical degrees—but trying to keep it all under tight rein, like Scorpio and Saturn are want to do. Tense!

Tuesday sees the Gemini/Sagittarius Lunation, where Mars plays an important role. (I will go into more detail in a subsequent post.) Then by suppertime, we contend with a wide Grand Fire Trine among the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus, that will no doubt help with the FM hangover.

Wednesday, Luna goes VOC just after sunrise and remains so till after sunset.  Sandbag the work day, if you can, unless, of course, you need to use the Void to your advantage!

Thursday, the Capricorn Moon works her way through aspects to the Nodes and Neptune to reach Pluto, late. The vibe is reminiscent of how we began the week under a Scorpio Moon conjunct Saturn—emotional discipline and control.

Also, similar is the day’s critical degree/out of sign square between Cancer Venus and Sagittarius Saturn Rx at 29° and 0°, respectively.

Don’t let this get you down. Remember your worth and know you have what it takes!

sun into gemini—words, people, WORDS!!!!—may 21st – june 21st

Well, the Sun moved from Taurus to Gemini last Thursday.

george-barbier-le-jour-et-la-nuit-1100-331I have only now been able to get a post out about it.

Could it be due the fact the newly ingressed Sun immediately opposed Sagittarius Saturn Rx (delays and frustration) after his transition? Or could it be the havoc Gemini Mercury Retrograde is having on my already precarious internet connectivity grip here at my current location?

Anyway.

The Sun has now joined Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, and Mars in the third sector of the zodiac.

Mutable Air. An intellectual sign, whose sigil is the Twins—Castor and Pollux.

There is a duality to all the Air signs and our Gemini is characterised as literally two people. Castor is the earth bound brother, while Pollux is the deified immortal. Things will take on this biformity as the solar month continues. It will be hard to miss.

Also, hard to miss is the resurgence of Gemini’s shiny—ah, let me explain.

Lovers of astrology know every sign has a “shiny”—that thing which simply, unfailingly, lights their kind ablaze.

And Gemini’s shiny is WORDS. Lovely alphabets arranged to make glorious language.

For the last few weeks, I have been struck with how old words appear reborn in their power and strength, while other, strange, unknown words manifest from nowhere as if I am witnessing the creation of a neonatal galaxy.

for the long weekend—mirth and maelstrom—may 22nd – 25th

me55-burne-jones-the-knights-and-the-briar-roseThe Cancer Moon trined Pisces Chiron early this morning (about 1AM)—giving us potentially sweet, sweet dreams through the night. She is now Void of Course, remaining so till suppertime.

The Sun moved to Gemini yesterday and is currently locked in an opposition with Sagittarius Saturn Rx. How we interact with authority figures, especially about issues of communication and education will be highlighted.

This, Mercury Rx and a VOC Moon make the last day of our workweek a bit stressful—blah, it will keep till Tuesday. Do the best you can.

Tomorrow, the Moon is in shiny Leo interacting with all the planets in vivacious Gemini (Sun/Mars/Mercury) eventually to conjunct Jupiter, then trine zany Aries Uranus on Sunday.

This makes the weekend proper a skip in a budding spring meadow. Leo is happy and fun and it will definitely show!

And then we get to Monday.

Cancer Venus will square Aries Uranus while the Moon travels through Virgo creating a rolling Mutable Grand Square and Grand Cross with Saturn, the boys in Gemini and Neptune.

Fitful excitable day. We won’t know whether we want to read something, clean something, lecture someone or just get drunk instead. Before the day is done, we will probably partake in all of it!!!

It will be a bizarre vibe to remember our veterans under, but not so bad to have a backyard BBQ.

Or just go see Mad Max another time, like me.

for the weekend—roadblocks and resources—may 15th – 17th

Today, Gemini Mars opposes Sagittarius Saturn Rx—the atmosphere will be intellectually nervous with obstacle after obstacle popping up to stand in our way.

None of our attempts at action will go according to plan—best rethink the master scheme a bit or simply wait for better days.

Good thing it’s Friday, huh?  (Unless, of course, if it’s not your Friday.)

While Mars and Saturn go at it, the waning Aries Moon gets bolstered from a sextile with flighty Mercury and a trine from enthusiastic Jupiter but later she is slammed with a square from intense Pluto and a conjunction to erratic Uranus.

The day will feel like a nip of gin—burns but somehow warms, upturns but somehow steadies, calms but somehow excites—ALL AT ONCE!!!

Tomorrow is much better, for Cancer Venus trines Pisces Neptune—a lovely Water balm to ease frustration!

Although we will still be contending with the thwarted effects of the day before, it won’t matter that much since the vibe will seem so smoothly EMOTIONALLY transcendent.

And Sunday sees Luna in Taurus trudging along her way to the New Moon shortly after midnight Monday.

She sextiles both Neptune and Chiron and squares Jupiter—bringing a healing/spiritual dynamic to the Lunation as well as, unfortunately, a feeling of enough is NEVER enough.

I will dig deeper into that in an upcoming post.

Alright.

week ahead—going out to meet the tide—may 11th – 14th

Herbert-James-Draper-Flying-Fish-1910Alright, the God of the Sea will rule this week—attacking our days from a myriad of angles.

Deluded or sublime.

Fantastical or confused.

Stagnating or evasive.

Hell, prolly a combination of all the above.

So, today, with Mars at the anaretic 29th degree, our Taurus Sun sextiles Pisces Chiron. Though we have plenty of confidence, our get up and go is scattered and chaotic.

Later tonight, the God of War passes over into Gemini and we’ll find a new sense of vitality and enthusiasm.

Tomorrow, has the Moon solidly (ha!) in Pisces. Luna conjuncts Neptune and squares Gemini Mercury—deep emotions simply won’t jive with the outer rational world. We’ll feel foggy headed and desperately wish to retreat, delaying any heavy thinking.

But, by Wednesday, the Moon has saddled along side Chiron—tapping into his sextile with the Sun. An immense conviction of purpose will be available—we’ll readily learn from mistakes and forge ahead down a clear path.

Thursday, the lovely Moon will have moved to Aries. She proceeds to trine Sagittarius Saturn, square Cancer Venus, conjunct the South Node—on her way to meeting up with Jupiter and Uranus.

Shit, we will feel antsy, depressed, slighted and oh, so hot tempered about it all. Keep your head down to avoid the inherent pitfalls.

OR assimilate past triumphs and blunders, continuing along the course of conviction from the day before—Saturn will certainly help in this regard!!

Always TWO options, guys!!

Well, it’s a week to get lost and then find ourselves again—with both, the propensity for reward.

Yeah.

Lona

week ahead—recuperation and levity—may 4th – 7th

Since last night’s Full Moon, the sultry Scorpio Moon has rolled on to sextile Cappy Pluto, trine Pisces Chiron and WB2_0022_She-was-the-Queen-of-them-alloppose Taurus Mars, thus continuing the theme of yesterday’s Beltane—uncover the damage then set about repairing it.

Later tonight, Luna will then go Void of Course and remain so until Tuesday morning, when she crosses into Sagittarius and immediately conjuncts Saturn Rx while opposing Gemini Mercury.

We spend the day reconciling what our hearts want vs. what our minds reassure us we really need. With Saturn in the mix, our minds will probably carry the day, but Sagittarius is so enthusiastic and spirited we won’t be butt-hurt about it for long.

Wednesday is the busiest of the week, where the Taurus Sun trines Capricorn Pluto Rx—again reminiscent of the Full Moon vibe, only with tons of solid Earth energy to maintain a proper cadence. For the day, our waning Fire Moon lets off steam with squares to Pisces Neptune then Chiron, as well as gets a chipper boost from Leo Jupiter and Aries Uranus.

There will be little that could pull us down, our spirits will be absolutely irrepressible!

Then on Thursday, the Moon opposes Gemini Venus at the anaretic 29°. Emotions will be excessive, but Luna’s ultimate pass into Capricorn will certainly put the kibosh on the dramatics. This is the final aspect lovely Venus makes before she enters Cancer that evening. More later.

Alright, as we recuperate from the Full Flower Moon, a jolly Sadge Moon isn’t too shabbby a cohort to let the waning waters find stable level again. Not bad at all.

Enjoy your week.
