On Saturday, September 13th, our resident Warrior moves from the fluid depths of Scorpio to the lofty blazing heights of Sagittarius—from Water to Fire. Both are marked by feelings—one is just the receptive yin variety, the other, assertive yang.
Scorpio Mars is the strategist, while Sagittarius Mars just simply wings it. We have spent the last month and a half ruminating over actions taken or not, swimming among the ghosts and goblins of our individual Underworlds and getting intimate with Father Time.
Now it is time to come up for air.
Once in Sagittarius, he quickly goes into square aspect with Piscean Neptune and by the end of September he will be personal player in a grand-Fire-trine with Jupiter in Leo and Uranus in Aries that reaches perfection on October 4th. Hot! Further along, our soldier revisits Libra energy through sextiles to Fall planets transversing there.
More on all that in the days to come, but first, let’s get to know the Archer a bit better.
Venus is about half way done with her yearly summer trip through the fire sign of Leo. The beginning of this coming week many suiters will come a’calling on Miss Venus. Let’s she how she may respond to their advances.
On August 25th, the Goddess of Love will inconjunct the Maverick from Pisces. Venus is attraction and our sense of worth related to how attractive we feel and how well we attract financial security. Chiron is a wound that never heals. His energy is of helping others with precisely the injuries he cannot recover fully from. Together, we get to question our value in regards to the house Venus is transiting. She is pulling healing Chironic energy to this area. With Chiron, ‘healing’ may be as simple as a minor change in perspective.
Sounds easy, but inconjuncts are tricky— to get the rewards you have to manually adjust. Leo is the lion, but here she is the bashful fluffy kitty and any body in Pisces is undoubtedly on the introverted side. Think of 2 shy teenagers with crushes, who have to force themselves to even smile at one another.
Then on Tuesday, charming attention loving Leo Venus will square steamy Mars/Saturn in Scorpio. The same day she will also be in trine aspect with electric Uranus from Aries.
“Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.” —Archimedes
On August 24th the Yod configuration between Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus occurs. You can read about the Yod, here; Part 1 of Mercury in Virgo 2014, here and the role Mars conjunct Saturn plays, here.
Lots of yummy stuff, so let’s get to it—
What happens when steamy Mars/Saturn goes into easy aspect with earthy Mercury? When structured action combines with quicksilver intellect?
Now, where in your life do things need to be shook up? Where could you use some revolution? Where is a blind spot that could use some light?
This configuration could be an answer to most all of that.
This week and on into next week, Mars gets a lot of action, a position the God of War enjoys.
But first things first, lets get to know Mr. Scorpio Mars a bit better.
It is general consensus that Mars in Pluto’s sign is the sexiest of them all. And back in the day, before Pluto was discovered, Mars was the ruler of extreme Scorpio. Therefore his current sojourn in our Fixed Water sign is an agreeable one.
Mr. Mars here is a brooding, smoldering, determined gentleman. He can navigate the waters of obsession with just the right mix of possession and jealousy to arouse the most coldly rational of partners. If he wants you, he will get you. And if not, he will scorch the earth trying. This doesn’t just go for matters of the heart, either. Scorpio Mars brings this singularity of intent to all he does in the world. But beware, this warrior fights no half battles. He is all in or he is all out. No middle. Once he’s over it, he’s gone.
Mercury moves into Virgo on Friday, August 15th and will be there just over 2 weeks until Monday, September 1st.
The Messenger of the Gods is comfortable in Virgo, a sign that he rules.
Mercury is strong here.
While in Leo, it was all passionate speaking and creative thinking, but now our minds get to switch gears. Virgo Mercury is analytical and rational. She processes and communicates with sagacious integrity and insists on only conveying accurate information. She delves into the details and comes up with a fine-tuned ordered system.
For the next 2 weeks, words will come easier than at other times, since Virgo Mercury energy is one of the wordsmith. If a crisis should arise, you may also notice that you have the ability to stay somewhat more level-headed, which is another trait of this mercurial Maiden.
Next Saturday, Jupiter, planet of expansion and the higher-self teams up with Mercury, planet of the mind and communication in Leo, sign of royalty and the spotlight—time to think BIG, baby.
With action oriented Mars in determined Scorpio zinging this pair the conversations, ideas and schemes produced this day will have a deeply philosophical flair for the dramatic.
Satisfying the Leo in us all.
Where’s it about to get chatty in your world?
