Venus has been mighty close to the Sun lately as they travel through Libra. And on the 24th, she becomes what was known to ancient astrologers as cazimi.
So, in honor of this, I’m writing a fast and dirty about what that and similar terms mean.

August 25th, the Moon pays a visit to the Sun in the sign of Virgo.
New Moons are the chance to get a new perspective or initiate action on the area of your chart housing the conjunction. It comes once a month, is in a different house and they are a supurb way to tweek your life toward the most badass you.
It is Virgo time!! This sign is practical, efficient and organized. No other Moon will give you the energy to make real world, real time changes where they are needed. This is not the emotional headiness of Pisces or the take no prisoners power of Aries—this is roll your sleeves up and get that garage cleaned out magnificence!!!
August 10th will give us an Aquarius Full SuperMoon. For the last 2 weeks, strength has been building and now it is time for taking stock of how far we’ve come.
Full Moons highlight the axis between the Sun and Moon. They allow you to observe more clearly what is usually hidden by metaphorical darkness. These cyclical oppositions can be viewed as a bridge between the conscious (Sun) to the subconscious (Moon). This monthly event points to the culmination of intentions made roughly 2 weeks prior on the New Moon. It is a heightened time of possibility, where seeds planted are blooming into beautiful flowers. We can reap what we have sown.
